Vulnerability Expert Forums

The monthly Vulnerability Expert Forum focuses on recently announced critical vulnerabilities - from Microsoft and other software vendors. eEye's Internet security experts will describe the actions necessary to protect your systems from the threats that target these vulnerabilities.

October 2008

The patches from Microsoft are scheduled to be disclosed on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Please subscribe to the newsletter and register for eEye Digital Security's Vulnerability Expert Forum (VEF) webinar. eEye's VEF is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2008, the day following Microsoft's Patch Tuesday.

Vulnerability Overview

eEye Digital Security's expert analysis of Microsoft's patches will be provided shortly after their disclosure on Patch Tuesday. Please refer back to this page for more information - and be sure to attend the VEF on Wednesday for complete details and open discussion regarding critical vulnerabilities, other vendor patches, and zero-day threats.

“We use the VEF to help assess the true criticality of which and where to roll out the patches each month. We cannot just apply (or not apply) these patches without this consideration. This saves us time and money and focuses our resources on what truly needs to be done.” – Jim Schifalacqua, Director & Chief Technologist,
Information Security Practice, SI International
