(Irvine, CA) — eEye Digital Security is looking for a student with a basic level of network security knowledge. This internship will be primarily responsible for the assistance of vulnerability assessment audits for eEye's award winning Retina Network Security Scanner. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in an exciting field surrounded by individuals that are highly motivated in helping to manage security threats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and catalog published vulnerabilities
- Build and maintain virtual machine environments
- Collaborate with team members to develop automation for vulnerability identification software, and for quality assurance testing
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to interact with team members to troubleshoot problems
- Understanding of basic network communications and protocols
- Strong interest in network security
- Administration skills required to set up virtualized environments
- Experience with both Windows and UNIX file structure and architecture
- Knowledge of scripting and regular expressions
