(Irvine, CA) — The Information Systems Developer focuses on maintaining and improving eEye’s website and business-critical business software applications, including researching and implementing new business software to improve and automate core business processes. This individual works with executives and managers from all departments on to implement new initiatives, website enhancements, system process changes, and go-to-market strategies.

Principal Responsibilities: Website Management

  • Enhance and maintain eEye’s website, including content, design, navigation and flow optimization to effectively support sales and marketing lead nurturing programs as well as metadata optimization to maximize search engine rankings.
  • Expand web 2.0 look and feel to enhance and reinforce eEye’s brand image and experience, such as adding community forums.
  • Create and update landing pages, graphic and other materials to support eEye’s marketing campaigns and products, and product launches.
  • Monitor and track metrics using Google Analytics on sources of referrals to eEye.com, navigation within the website, and usefulness of content to enhance the user experience.
  • Enhance and unify the experience of all customer access to eEye’s websites, from the main website to partner and customer portals and sub sites, such as research.
  • Enhance and maintain new web store for online sales.

Salesforce.com Administration

  • Maintain custom features and fields in Salesforce, such as sales quotes.
  • Maintain an online quote-to-order system that allows sales reps to automatically generate quotes, customers to view the quotes and modify contact data, customers to accept the quotes, and for the system to generate auto-acceptance emails and software download instructions.
  • Maintain Salesforce API to other internal systems.
  • Ensure overall security of Salesforce, including defining roles, profiles, data and report access.
  • Update product pricing, SKUs and descriptions as needed.
  • Develop business metrics and custom reporting within Salesforce.
  • Update management dashboards for enhancements and changes.
  • Maintain Salesforce VoIP integration and create custom call metric reporting.

Network Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with IT on updating the network infrastructure to address disaster recovery, redundancy, scalability and performance to ensure high availability.
  • Periodically assess and enhance eEye’s network design to optimize application performance.
  • Assist with expanding SaaS architecture for new product offerings.

Training and Support

  • Provide user training and documentation on all software applications.
  • Provide technical support for all systems and maintain a record of all enhancement requests.
  • Develop and update online training application to deliver training content to customers.
  • Software Application Development & Maintenance
  • Maintain Avataro, an internal web-based application for managing product orders, software licenses, and product support data.
  • Update product pricing, SKUs and descriptions in Salesforce, Avataro and Great Plains, as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience and Education
  • Bachelor degree in computer science or software engineering, preferably with an emphasis on business applications.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience supporting and coding websites and business applications.
  • Technical Knowledge
  • Expert in ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, and HTML, with strong skills in XML and XSLT.
  • Strong skills in SQL Server database design and maintenance.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, C# and SOAP.
  • Strong technical knowledge of web technologies.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce APIs is preferred.
  • Strong skills in web server configuration and Microsoft IIS are desired.
  • Experience with content management systems a plus.
