(Irvine, CA) — The Information Systems Developer focuses on maintaining and improving eEye Digital Security’s existing business software applications, researching and implementing new business software, and providing training on all applications. This individual will work with the IS team to implement new initiatives and system process changes and interface with managers from all departments to help identify areas where processes can be improved and streamlined through the use of existing and new software tools.
System Development & Maintenance
- Maintain and improve an internal web-based application for managing product orders, customer licenses, and product support data. Maintain and improve the underlying SQL Server database.
- Maintain and develop integration scripts between an internal SQL database and Salesforce.com, financial applications, shopping cart applications, and other third-party software providers.
- Work with the Salesforce administrator to maintain and improve data flow between Salesforce and the internal web-based application
- Provide inter-departmental support on data mining, reporting and statistics.
Training and Support
- Provide user training and documentation on all software applications.
- Provide internal technical support for all systems and maintain a record of all enhancement requests.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, preferably with an emphasis on business applications.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a software development position.
Technical Knowledge
- Expert in ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, and HTML, with strong skills in XML and XSLT.
- Strong skills in SQL Server database design and maintenance are required.
- Experience with ASP.NET, C# and SOAP are required.
- Strong technical knowledge of web technologies is required.
- Knowledge of Salesforce APIs is strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in web server configuration and Microsoft IIS are desired.
- Experience with content management systems a plus.
